The 200

We had a group hug at work today; found out that while the managers were supposed to be finding names to give, to be let go, really they came up a little short.  The names were to be submitted on Saturday and only a tenth of the real total requested were turned in just 200 names were presented to upper management.  Yes I have to say this in a round about way as to not give any real details.  BUT our group did turn in our required number of heads to upper management.  Lucky for me these four will come from the natural flow of people, job safe for now.

Also today the new flow meter for work, while we did not let out the magic smoke, the transducer appears to not work.

This evening was Taco Tuesday at the Tin Hat.  Lots of fun, had some cheap tacos and saw some friends, but what was odd.  When we got off the bus at home, T and his girlfriend were driving by and saw us.  They were going to the store, and we tagged along.  A really good surprise.

Ground Hog Day

Sunny and a bit warm, made it quite nice to go out with the tech to play with the new flow meter.  Which we almost fried, but hopefully will only be the transformer in the power supply.  I also joined the mechanic while he worked a bit on the small compressor.  I found out that it has been down for about nine months now—but with it finally being fixed—the big won't have to be run as often.  The ride home was strangely devoid of traffic, I feel like I missed something fun.

Yesterday we had both lunch and dinner out.  Lunch with her friends and their baby, dinner with my friends.
